Had a very interesting trip coming down to Singapore. I don’t know how much details I can provide, without having someone banging down my door so everything will be nice and masked up.
Basically, leaving for the airport, I had booked a bus ticket for 2 of my other friends. And One of them had to have the timing for the ticket changed. However when you buy a ticket like this it all comes wrapped up as one big ticket. So when she changed it basically we had to go along with her for it. Hence our bus timing was changed from 1200 to 0900. I took it like a man. And just sucked it up, I mean honestly how bad could Heathrow be. They had Krispy Kremes after all.
Then we arrived at the airport. She decided to go off and do her own thing with this other guy who we had changed our bus ticket timing for. I had no opinion as honestly I didn’t know her that well and so went to sit at the T3 Pret-a-Porter. I love Pret. Its cheap and feels … better than just any old Starbucks. But maybe it’s because I’m still a *tourist*. Anyway, we waited till the last minute before we left, and was calling and calling her throughout, the check-in, the return to Pret to sit somemore, to get donuts etc. No response. We decided eventually we had to go inside the terminal if not we’d simply not have any time to shop for whatever goodies we’re supposed to be getting. So off we went.
*I had the best soup EVER inside though, twas’ a Ragu (bolognaise) sause type thing but not too rich and definitely qualified as a GOOD stew*
And eventually we received a call telling us that she was in hospital. Typical me FREAKED OUT. Was going on about the cops way too much *and I have too much faith in the authorities* But anyway, it really did give us all a pretty good scare. And though I don’t know what the debrief was in the end, but when I’d left, she’d been to the A&E and there were people going down to find her. and we were DEFINITELY worried about the fact that she was with some guy, but at least I know that she’s back home safe and sound which is ultimately what matters. Truly an eventful flight.
