Legal Counsel
FOcussing on Corporate Commercial Matters, with Broad Experience in the APAC region
Having recently turned 35, I’ve considered that maybe it is time to put my good name to some use, and of course, that means having a website that looks semi-professional, so here is the professional aspect of my personal website if you’ve come a-lookin’ for that.
My full name is Lim, Jieq Jerrick 林杰. I am Singaporean, and have been based in Singapore for most of my professional career, undertaking regional roles covering South East Asia and APAC. I am also an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore (Non-Practicing).
I am currently the Senior Legal Counsel at EVYD Technology. My role has allowed me to work on restructuring, investment, technology contracting with government bodies, training of the whole of company for various compliance and regulatory requirements.
In my immediate previous role, as Legal Counsel at TheAtlas Pte. Ltd. (Atlas), a start-up focussed on becoming the premier the low cost carrier aggegator globally, my role has been broad ranging. I cover corporate and contractual matters ranging from negotiations with travel agencies and airlines to pre-acquisition and investment negotiation. Further, my role covers implementation a broad range of compliance and regulatory matters, ranging from data protection to EU passenger protection regulation. I have also been instrumental in managing risk across the entire organisation as well as employment related matters.
I speak English at a native level, as my first language, and Mandarin Chinese fluently. I also speak French at a beginner’s level.
I am actively involved in the Singapore Corporate Counsels Association supporting on various initiatives, which included the organisation of the 3rd iteration of the Legal Eagles Challenge. I am also currently a member of the Peers committee fostering closer collaboration within the in-house counsel community in Singapore.
